There are Bromeliads & Bromeliads

As a keeper of Ranitomeya, bromeliads (often referred to as "broms") are essential for your vivarium. I usually purchase my standard bromeliads from my favourite vivarium shop Terrafauna in the Netherlands, along with attractive climbers, creepers, and all my other supplies, such as fruit fly mix and vitamins. In fact, cultivating tropical plants in my vivarium is half the enjoyment of keeping frogs for me.

However, recently, some very attractive hybrid bromeliads have become available on the market. These are cultivated in Southeast Asia and imported into Europe. I buy them from Biotopo, an importer of these beautiful selected bromeliads. They are the focal point of my vivaria and are placed in a central position. Most of the time, they are medium-sized (about 20-25 cm in diameter), which means they have large water reservoirs for my frogs. The frogs love them, and tadpoles are often deposited in these larger bromeliads. Some of them are mini bromeliads, about 8-10 cm in length, and are primarily used for decoration.

Here is an illustration of my collection.
