Ranitomeya sirensis froglet; ready for the World

After weeks of care from the parents (check out my previous post on that!), my new Ranitomeya sirensis froglet is almost ready ("metamorphosized") to explore the world! It’s about 10 mm long, not counting the tail.

The tail will shrivel and the froglet will climb out the bromeliad.

Over the next few months, its brothers and sisters in other bromeliads will be joining, too.

I’ve ramped up my springtail breeding to make sure they have tiny food for the first few weeks, before moving on to small fruit flies.

And yes, only two days later here he/she is!
