Dart frog concert in Copenhagen

We visited the Copenhagen Botanical Garden this summer and were curious whether they had dart frogs in their tropical greenhouse. I didn’t hear anything in the main circular greenhouse, but after exploring the tropical butterfly garden, we were greeted by the constant whistling of Epipedobates anthonyi.

They were everywhere, though still difficult to photograph. While other visitors were looking up and focusing on butterflies, we were looking down, searching for the frogs. It was a funny difference in visitor behavior!
